ON A PERSONAL NOTEReader, last week anxiety just about took me out. I don't know if you remember but the week before, I shared what my routine has been looking like as of late and how God gave me a vision of what was happening with my heart in the spirit. I simply saw a seed put into the ground. And the Lord told me that for the plant to grow, it must burst through the shell of the seed. Can you imagine? If it could feel, it must be so painful.
That’s what my healing journey has been like.
This season has been very painful and hard. I mean, not easy at all 😅 and at times I’ve absolutely HATED IT… and I definitely haven't been perfect in it.
But I have been and I am committed to it.
And now a little leaf is coming out of the seed 🌱
Well giiiiiiiiiirrrlllllllll, last week??? I was put to the test! Instead of drowning myself with noise, like I'd typically do by bingeing TV, pressing through business and work, eating for comfort... I abided in the Lord. John 15: 1-4 says, “I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. 2 He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes[a] so that it will be even more fruitful. 3 You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you. 4 Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me." Honestly girl, you need to read the entire chapter. A couple of weeks before this anxious week began, I was all up in the book of John reading at least a chapter a day (if I could). When I got to John 15, I spent so much time in it. It was as if the words I was reading were alive. God was real deal speaking to me through it like He's done in the past. When I tell you I ate that word up and it filled my belly!? 😮💨 When that anxious week came, those routines couldn't shake it out. The structures I had in place to make sure I was productive didn't take care of me. But you know what did? The Word. As soon as I realized that I was experiencing anxiety, this scripture came into my mind. The NKJV says, "4 Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me." So girl I abided in the Lord. I woke up, prayed. I stayed in my word and stayed away from the TV. I blasted worship. I journaled. For about 3 days, I just really abided in the Lord. The word "abide" in the Bible can have multiple meanings, including "to dwell," "remain," "be present," and "to be held and kept". It can also mean "to stay," "continue," or "endure". And on the 4th day, anxiety FELL OFF OF ME 😭 God is literally sooooooooo good! Reader you do not have to do life on your own. You can do life WITH GOD and you can trust that His Word is not only alive, but it is on time. You can trust that it has the POWERRRRRRRR to help you break free from everything you're struggling with. Trust in the Lord girl. And if you so happen to not know Him, let's change that today. Give yourself over to God and let Him make you whole. If you're feeling the pull to give your life to Jesus, say this prayer ⤵️ God, I know that I am a sinner. I know that I deserve the consequences of my sin. However, I am trusting in Jesus Christ as my Savior. I believe that His death and resurrection provided for my forgiveness. I trust in Jesus and Jesus alone as my personal Lord and Savior. Thank you Lord, for saving me and forgiving me! Amen! Yaaaaay 🙌🏾 Welcome to the family! Some great next steps are to get into the Word of God (I recommend the Gospel of John) and to pray and ask God to lead you to a church filled with the Holy Spirit. Umm... Note To Self: There are benefits to Obedience. When you do it His way, you don’t have to work as hard. Hey Reader, girl don't I have a story for you! Earlier this year, the Lord told me to leave Instagram and go to YouTube. Not suggest. Not hint. Told. Now, when I first sensed this instruction, I honestly thought He was trippin’. Instagram had always been my “home base.” It was the platform that worked for me in entrepreneurship, the one I’d poured years into building. So naturally, I...
Note To Self: But did God really tell you to do that? 👀 Or are you just doing more things to delay the work God told you to do? Hold up Holy Spirit ✋🏾🤚🏾 was my exact response Reader to that question 😅. But it made me pause (again) and ask myself, "Rose, what did God call you to do?" And soberingly, I had to acknowledge that I was going beyond what God said. I was launching a workshop—something I knew would be powerful. But God confronted me with a reality I couldn’t ignore: "You can do it,...
