Umm... Note To Self: There are benefits to Obedience. When you do it His way, you don’t have to work as hard. Hey Reader, girl don't I have a story for you! Earlier this year, the Lord told me to leave Instagram and go to YouTube. Not suggest. Not hint. Told. Now, when I first sensed this instruction, I honestly thought He was trippin’. Instagram had always been my “home base.” It was the platform that worked for me in entrepreneurship, the one I’d poured years into building. So naturally, I resisted. I even tried to compromise by popping back in here and there, hoping I could cling to what used to work. But the more I tried to force it, the more I felt the grace lift. After weeks of wrestling, I finally obeyed. I turned my attention fully to YouTube and started using Threads as a supporting platform—just as the Lord instructed. And let me tell you… He told me clearly: Sometimes I’d test messages on Threads first. Other times, I’d repurpose what performed well on YouTube. But no matter the direction, I was finally aligned with God’s instruction. And then He told me it was time to launch The Pushed into Position Academy—but not through Instagram. So I didn’t. Instead, I showed the behind-the-scenes journey on Threads and shared updates through this email list. I trusted that if God called me away from a platform, He would make provision on another. I then decided to host a Brand Processing Session—not a masterclass, not a full-blown workshop, just a simple space for women to sit with their God-given assignment and start processing it. No slides. No teaching. Just guided questions and space to think. My initial goal? 20 sign-ups. Today, as I write this email to you, over 40 women have registered. And here’s the kicker: Just obedience. Here’s what I’ve learned: Because obedience has benefits. God’s way isn’t always logical. It often feels like you're giving something up—but what you gain is so much greater: clarity, peace, provision, and results that don’t come from hustle, but from alignment. So if you're wrestling with what He’s calling you to do, let this be your confirmation: He sees what you don’t. I did less. That’s the benefit of obedience. Here Are a Few Ways I Can Help YouIf you’re ready to move from overthinking to stewarding, here’s how we can take action together this week: What’s Coming UpThe Pushed into Position Academy officially opens for enrollment on Monday, March 24th — and I couldn’t be more expectant about what God is going to do through it. This Academy wasn’t built just to help women build brands. It was built to help women step into position—their position in Christ, in the marketplace, and in the world. Because let’s be honest: too many women are walking around gifted, called, and carrying an assignment, but still feeling stuck, confused, or afraid to move. This Academy is for the woman ready to go: You will be equipped to build a biblically based brand around your God-given assignment confidently—so you can step into a position of influence online without compromising your position in Christ or the pace of your lifestyle. This a discipleship-first space for the modern Christian woman who’s ready to mature in Christ and steward her God-given mission with strategy, structure, and spiritual integrity. 🔑 AND—for those of you attending tonight’s Brand Processing Session… This is your season. Your moment. Your time to move from called to positioned. Let’s go. Things I’m Loving

P.S. These newsletters are based on the lessons that the Holy Spirit is actively (or has already been) teaching me. Never take my words as the bible. But I do encourage you to test my words against scripture to prove whether or not they are based in truth. My hope is that these personal notes will give you insight into what it's like to be walking with the Lord, fr fr. I want to share the highs, the lows and the many mistakes that happen in between. I pray that this encourages you to cultivate your relationship with God because truth is, He's been writing you personal notes too. |
On a Personal Note is a weekly letter for Christian women who know they’re called to build online, but feel stuck between conviction and confusion. If you’re struggling with second-guessing, comparison, or fear of showing up the wrong way, this space is for you. Each week, you’ll get personal insights, clarity, and encouragement to help you build a faith-rooted personal brand, launch your video podcast on YouTube, and attract the audience God has assigned you to serve — all without striving, selling out, or compromising your convictions. Because you can’t afford to let confusion, conformity, or comparison silence your calling in this season. It’s time to show up God's way.
Note To Self: But did God really tell you to do that? 👀 Or are you just doing more things to delay the work God told you to do? Hold up Holy Spirit ✋🏾🤚🏾 was my exact response Reader to that question 😅. But it made me pause (again) and ask myself, "Rose, what did God call you to do?" And soberingly, I had to acknowledge that I was going beyond what God said. I was launching a workshop—something I knew would be powerful. But God confronted me with a reality I couldn’t ignore: "You can do it,...
