Your weekly newsletter to keep you on track with building your Personal Brand No shade Reader, I've been there too if I'm honest. As a Christian entrepreneur in online entrepreneurship, you know how tempting it can be to compare yourself to your industry buddies. This is why I released a video yesterday, diving deep into why this habit can be detrimental to your brand’s authenticity and how to embrace what makes you stand out. I told you this last week but I am going to reiterate myself Reader... building a personal brand is not for the faint of heart. You can easily find yourself trying to piece your brand together with glue and duct tape when you don't have a clear blueprint to follow. But what happens when you stop secretly competing? When you stop looking at other people's stuff and trying to do it like they do it? When you recognize that you actually have something of value to offer your community? Well, I'll tell you... 🗣️ Your brand is most likely to thrive when you stay true to yourself and confidently stay in your own lane. In this video, I talk about How to Stop Secretly Competing and Stand Out in Your Personal Brand. How to Stop Secretly Competing and Stand Out in Your Personal Brand
ON A PERSONAL NOTEI love spontaneity. I love waking up whenever the heck I want. I love not having the pressure to perform a certain way for people. I love lazy slow mornings and late nights binging through an entire netflix series. But after a while girl (and I mean after 2-3 days) 🙄 I start to crack And I start feeling hella anxious and completely incapable of doing the smallest things. And I absolutely HATE that. I hate feeling incapable of my responsibilities more than I love being a lazy butt. So I made a change. Proverbs 6:6-11 says in the MSG version, "You lazy fool, look at an ant. Watch it closely; let it teach you a thing or two. Nobody has to tell it what to do. All summer it stores up food; at harvest it stockpiles provisions. So how long are you going to laze around doing nothing? How long before you get out of bed? A nap here, a nap there, a day off here, a day off there, sit back, take it easy—do you know what comes next? Just this: You can look forward to a dirt-poor life, poverty your permanent houseguest!" Ummmm 🤔 I don't know about you Reader but I do not want a dirt-poor life and poverty as my permanent houseguest! So here's a snapshot of the routine I'm now following so that I can stand on business. Remember how I shared last week that God showed me a seed? Here's a snippet I simply saw a seed put into the ground. And the Lord told me that for the plant to grow, it must burst through the shell of the seed. Can you imagine? If it could feel, it must be so painful.
That’s what my healing journey has been like.
This season has been very painful and hard. I mean, not easy at all 😅 and at times I’ve absolutely HATED IT… and I definitely haven't been perfect in it.
But I have been and I am committed to it.
And now a little leaf is coming out of the seed 🌱
That routine is what watering, fertilizing, and pruning this newly sprouted plant looks like. It's not comfortable but I am not looking to be comfortable. I am looking to continue to grow so that in due season? This little leaf will become a tree and I’ll become more of me (the me God created me to be). THINGS I’VE BEEN ENJOYINGNothing has really changed, were still going strong with:
PREVIOUS YOUTUBE VIDEO🔗 The biggest gaps I see as a *personal brand strategist* preventing you from standing out. This video was cool to film because I shared my insight on what's going on within the online space. One of the very first things I ask my clients is this: 👉🏾 "What is your main purpose behind wanting to have a digital presence? Outside of marketing your business, how are you trynna impact your community?” I ask this because when you lack purpose behind what you’re doing and why you’re doing it, you lose the very essence of what can help you to stand out online. I mean the episode was soooo good. Definitely check it out (and you can listen to the podcast episode here). WHAT’S COMING NEXT?I am building out and soon launching The Blueprint. That's not the final name, but I am soooooo excited about it and I have opened up a waitlist for those of you who might be interested. The Blueprint looks a little something like this... And includes brand identity and a 60-day action plan to launch out your brand! And the whole goal is to help you implement a complete system to biblical personal branding that not only sets you apart but calls in the community God has designed you to lead. If you want to build a brand that glorifies God and edifies others, join here 😉
In the meantime though, I am still taking 1:1 clients and the summer is THE PERFECT time to work on filling the gaps in your brand. You can apply to work with me here. Umm... Note To Self: There are benefits to Obedience. When you do it His way, you don’t have to work as hard. Hey Reader, girl don't I have a story for you! Earlier this year, the Lord told me to leave Instagram and go to YouTube. Not suggest. Not hint. Told. Now, when I first sensed this instruction, I honestly thought He was trippin’. Instagram had always been my “home base.” It was the platform that worked for me in entrepreneurship, the one I’d poured years into building. So naturally, I...
Note To Self: But did God really tell you to do that? 👀 Or are you just doing more things to delay the work God told you to do? Hold up Holy Spirit ✋🏾🤚🏾 was my exact response Reader to that question 😅. But it made me pause (again) and ask myself, "Rose, what did God call you to do?" And soberingly, I had to acknowledge that I was going beyond what God said. I was launching a workshop—something I knew would be powerful. But God confronted me with a reality I couldn’t ignore: "You can do it,...
